Simon Davidson studied law at St. John’s College Cambridge and subsequently obtained a master’s degree in maritime law at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada. Simon is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and of both the Hong Kong and Singapore Institutes of Arbitrators. He has been appointed by the ICC as sole arbitrator on a number of cases.
Simon joined the firm in 1985, when he took articles. In 1989, he transferred to Holman Fenwick Willan’s Hong Kong office and became a partner in 1994. He is now based in the firm’s Singapore office where he became the managing partner in 2000. He specialises in marine, commodity trading and energy contracts, litigation and arbitration.
